The brewing guide
Make it your own.
- 01
Fold and rinse the Chemex filter, with the thicker side facing the spout. Empty the rinse water.
- 02
Add 30 g of medium-coarse coffee and level the bed.
- 03
Bloom with 60 g of water for 45 seconds.
- 04
Pour gently in stages until the scale reads 500 g, keeping the grounds wet without flooding the filter.
- 05
Let it drain fully. Aim for 4:30–5:00, remove the filter and give the coffee a swirl.
Use a thicker filter. Pour gently; the long draw-down is the point.
