The brewing guide

Make it your own.

  1. 01

    Fold and rinse the Chemex filter, with the thicker side facing the spout. Empty the rinse water.

  2. 02

    Add 30 g of medium-coarse coffee and level the bed.

  3. 03

    Bloom with 60 g of water for 45 seconds.

  4. 04

    Pour gently in stages until the scale reads 500 g, keeping the grounds wet without flooding the filter.

  5. 05

    Let it drain fully. Aim for 4:30–5:00, remove the filter and give the coffee a swirl.
