Returns & refunds.

Plain rules, handled like humans. If we can fix it, we will.

The short version

You have fourteen days to change your mind under EU law. If the bag is unopened and in the same condition it arrived in, we will refund it. If the bag has been opened, we cannot take it back — coffee is a fresh food, and once the seal is broken we cannot resell it.

If something is genuinely wrong — a damaged parcel, a missing item, a roast that does not match what you ordered — we will make it right. Usually that means a replacement, sent at our expense. Just write to us and we will answer within one working day.

Changing your mind

As an EU consumer, you may cancel your order within fourteen days of receiving it. Send us a quick email at info@flyingfrogcoffee.com with your order number, then return the unopened goods within fourteen days of that message.

Once the coffee is back with us in good condition, we refund the purchase price and the standard outbound shipping within fourteen days.

Opened bags

We cannot accept returns of opened or resealed bags. This is not a loophole — it is the same reason a bakery cannot resell a sliced loaf. Coffee absorbs moisture, aromas and oxygen the moment the valve seal is broken, so we would never send an opened bag to another customer.

If you are unsure whether a coffee will suit you, start with a 100 g bag, or write to us and we will help you choose.

If something is wrong

Mistakes happen, even to careful roasters. If your parcel arrives damaged, incomplete, or not as described, email us a photo and your order number within fourteen days. We will replace the coffee or refund it in full — your choice — and we will not ask you to send the damaged bag back.

If the coffee simply is not to your taste, tell us how you brewed it. We may be able to suggest a finer grind, a lower temperature, or a different ratio. If it is still not right, we will send you something from the shelf that fits you better.

Return shipping

For a straightforward change of heart, the cost of returning the coffee is yours. You are welcome to drop it off at the roastery in Amsterdam by appointment instead — no postage, just a friendly handover.

If we made the mistake, we pay the return shipping or simply send a replacement without asking for the original back.

How to start a return

  1. Email us at info@flyingfrogcoffee.com with your order number.
  2. Tell us whether it is a change of mind or a problem with the order.
  3. Wait for our reply — we respond within one working day.
  4. Pack the unopened bags securely and send them back, or bring them to Amsterdam.
